Russia halts pork imports from Brazilian state over swine fever
MOSCOW, Dec 26 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Oversight has introduced temporary restrictions on pig and pork imports from the Brazilian state of Alagoas due to an outbreak of classical swine fever, the authority said in a statement on Thursday.
The products delivered from October 1 until Friday will be either checked in laboratories for the virus, or sent back.
